A few years ago, Erin Asaad (Founder & CEO) suddenly had to remove dairy, sugar and gluten (basically everything delicious) from her diet. At that time, there weren’t any clean non-dairy yogurt options out there – and what’s life without yogurt? Her obsession with cooking led to the creation of Culina, a coconut-based yogurt that was so good her friends kept stealing it from her fridge. What we’re looking for:

We are looking for a self-motivated, creative savvy and results-driven Brand Manager to join our team. Reporting into the Senior Director of Marketing, you will be a significant contributor in driving short and long-term growth for the Culina brand. You’ll be responsible for cultivating a strong community through influencer marketing, events and other buzz building organic tactics. You’ll also guide the brand’s portfolio expansion through commercialization of exciting new innovation and identification of growth opportunities via new distribution, new consumers and new occasions. 

What you’ll do:

  • Execute a buzzworthy event & experiential marketing plan that gets more spoons in mouths, driving both brand awareness and conversion. 

  • Manage strategic partnerships with brands and influencers to expand Culina’s reach online and in-store. 

  • Create strategy for scroll-stopping creative across Culina’s social media channels, website and newsletters in partnership with an internal creative team. 

  • Execute shopper marketing programming, partnering with sales to monitor and optimize performance across pricing, trade promotions and marketing tactics. 

  • Lead identification, assessment and commercialization of new product platforms.

  • Proactively monitor and optimize performance through leadership of the forecasting process as well as consumption and competitive tracking. 

  • Partner with sales to develop compelling selling stories and materials. 

  • Manage the budget and provide input into annual business planning. 

  • Continuously assess opportunities to drive high growth in collaboration through portfolio management, pricing, promotions, new distribution and marketing tactics. 

  • Drive internal and external engagement and enthusiasm for the Culina brand!

  • Work from anywhere, though Austin is preferred. 


What you’ll bring to the table:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field; MBA a plus. 

  • Demonstrated success and roles with increasing responsibility, including 5+years business experience with 1-2 years in a CPG marketing role – either in-house or with an agency. 

  • Strong understanding of brand metrics such as IRI, Nielsen or SPINS. 

  • Experience leading internal and/or external creative partners in content creation and media execution. 

  • Speed to market mindset with a proven track record for solving problems on the fly, identifying creative solutions and using data to develop compelling business cases. 

  • Excellent project management skill set with acute attention to detail. 

  • A passion for deliciously good and good-for-you foods. Spoon optional. 

  • An ability to pivot and adapt – changing the way America eats sometimes requires somersaults. 

  • A bias for action. You actively seek out inefficiencies and opportunities. Fixing leaky faucets, a plus. 

  • Kindness inside and out – a collaborative, team mentality that celebrates the “we” before the “me”.  

  • An innate desire to deliver beyond “good enough”. You hold yourself to the highest standards and you strive to improve others and yourself.
