About us:

Reuben’s Brews is a family brewery that opened in 2012. We brew from the glass backwards: designing each beer with intention, unbound by constraints. We know making the extra effort is worth it. From your everyday favorite beers to our innovative new releases, we help you grow your love of beer.

We are the most decorated brewery in Washington, have three brewhouses with two tasting rooms, and we distribute our beer predominantly in the Pacific Northwest. In 2021 we brewed 24,500 BBLs.

Position summary:

Reuben’s has grown significantly over the past few years, presenting the need for this expanded role. This role will report to the Director of Operations. The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Leadership, Management and Accountability for marketing and sales staff and their operations;

  • Maintain and develop our distribution and client partnerships

  • Create and drive all marketing initiatives

  • Provide insightful reporting about company and industry trends along with recommended company actions

The successful applicant will be a part of the brewery’s senior management team and work closely with the Co-Founders and the rest of leadership on the strategic direction of the business.

The role:

The Director of Marketing and Sales will be responsible for driving sales and overseeing the marketing of our products. You will work very closely with all of our distributor partners while executing initiative programs and Point of Sales opportunities along with many other consumer facing activations.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establishes marketing and sales goals and objectives.

  • Develop and drive the marketing plans

  • Garner and maintain strong relationships with distributor, targeted retail accounts, and retail chain customers

  • Forecasts, drafts, implements, and oversees the department’s operating budget.

  • Creates and maintains all sales forecasting

  • Drive distribution incentive programing

  • Ensure partners and staff have all necessary tools (Sales sheets, programming info, etc.) to execute in the marketplace

  • Effectively manage resources and budgets and keep sales growth in line with company revenue goals

  • Identify pricing and programming opportunities, in order to build a strategy around them and work with the distributor to execute

  • Identify event opportunities that will translate into successful activations through product sampling, event partnerships, on-premise & off-premise activations

  • Develop relationships with on premise managers, off premise managers, operations managers and distributor marketing and sales departments

  • Drives social media strategy to generate online following, including identifying Influencers along with maintenance and growth of all Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and future social media accounts

  • Ride-along’s with distributors to help with sales support and ensure the proper Reuben’s brand selling story

Requirements:

  • 2+ years sales and/or marketing experience in the beverage alcoholic industry. Experience working with a distributor or supplier required.

  • Existing relationships with key chain and independent accounts preferred

  • Effective communication and presentation skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Suite and the ability to learn and adopt to company software applications

  • Demonstrated ability to manage strategically, execute tactically and provide leadership to others;

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks to closure concurrently;

  • A college degree an advantage;

  • Be available to work evenings and weekends as necessary.

Physical demands include but are not limited to: Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; Often lift or move full 1/2BBL kegs.
